Macon County School System

The Macon County Board of Education will hold a work session to discuss the FY27 budget on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 5:00 PM. The approval of the tentative budget is scheduled to take place at the regularly scheduled board meeting on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 6:00 PM.  The first public hearing will take place at a called board meeting on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 6:00 PM, and the second public hearing will take place at a called board meeting on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 1:30 PM. The final adoption of the FY27 budget is scheduled to take place at the regularly scheduled board meeting on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 6:00 PM. The meetings will be held at the Macon County Board of Education, located at 31 Buck Creek Bypass Road, Oglethorpe, GA. All meetings are open to the public.
