On July 2, 2025, Dr. Johnathan Roberts was officially sworn in as Superintendent of Macon County Schools in a ceremony held at the Macon County Courthouse. Chief Magistrate Judge Thomas B. Martin administered the oath of office.
Dr. Roberts was joined by members of the Board of Education, district staff, and community members as he formally assumed his new role. The ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter in leadership for the school system.
“I am deeply honored to serve Macon County as superintendent,” Dr. Roberts said. “I look forward to working with our board, staff, families, and community to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.”
The Board of Education extends its congratulations to Dr. Roberts and looks forward to the leadership and vision he brings to Macon County Schools.
