The program's focus includes safety, sanitation, hair treatment, hair cutting techniques, shaving, skin care, reception, sales, and management. Recently students in the Engineering class used a drone to place a McDonald's Order. It started as a fun activity and ended as a productive one. They wanted to test the shipping capabilities of our new drone, and one of the students suggested that they order food and pick it up from McDonald's. The order was placed over the phone, and the manager was informed about the drone dropping a bag with instructions written on it. As planned, we dropped a Shipping bag from the rope attached to the drone at McDonald's Curbside Pick-up area. The bag stayed in the air while the delivery person could read the instructions and place the food in the bag. Once the bag was zipped tight, we pulled the Drone up and brought it back to the destination. Ultimately, it was a well-executed plan, ensuring no cars, people, or trees would impede the way.
